Dr. Darling Miramey

Dr. Darling James Miramey is an educator, policy maker, and creative industries executive dedicated to weaving education, culture, and creativity into a more inclusive and innovative landscape.

With a Ph.D. in Multimedia Communication & Design and an MBA in Management, Dr. Miramey began his career as a teacher in the New York City Public Schools, working in four boroughs with students from K-12. Here, he witnessed firsthand the transformative power of education and sought to merge theory with practice. His commitment to ensuring every voice is heard, regardless of language or background, led him to serve on the Language Access Advisory Committee and the Civic Engagement Commission. Additionally, he has collaborated with stakeholders to drive positive change at the grassroots level as a member of the Community Education Council for Districts 3 and 14, as well as a CCELL member.

As a Multilingual Communication Specialist, Dr. Miramey believes in the power of effective storytelling to bridge cultural divides. He has developed inclusive, multilingual communication strategies that resonate with diverse audiences and crafted multimedia content that inspires and educates. His work includes curating exhibitions and projects, which celebrates cultural exchange.
